Social Justice Activist Bree Newsome

Bree Newsome is a filmmaker, musician, and activist who speaks often about women and politics, among other issues. She was the activist who climbed the flagpole in South Carolina and removed the Confederate flag. For this event, Newsome talked about current issues in social justice, and students had the opportunity to meet and speak with her. Co-sponsored by the Schreyer Honors College, the Presidential Leadership Academy, the Center for Women Students, and the Paul Robeson Cultural Center.
